Blank Skate Project: Friday, June 28
Time to get all artsy and stuff.
Happy spring to our stellar skateboarding community! Whether you skate, spectate, or just think we're cool (we get it), we're glad you're here.
Spring has sprung, which means the skateparks are poppin' and street skating it coming alive (did I just see Kemmer throwing it down at Family Fare?)
This also means we're gearing up for the Blank Skate Project!
This year's Blank Skate is Friday, June 28th at The Hall at Fargo Brewing.
One of our biggest fundraisers and parties of the year, the Blank Skate Project is a chance for artists to turn blank skateboards into works of art and have them auctioned off live. All proceeds go to the Hawk's Nest and skateboard programming.
Design a Board for Blank Skate
All ages, abilities, backgrounds, and artistic genres welcome! All proceeds raised on Friday June 28th go to the Hawk's Nest indoor skate park.
Email your name and phone number to fargohawksnest@gmail.com to sign up.
Donate a Board to Blank Skate
We will take your old boards if you have them! Drop them off at the Hawk's Nest any time (just leave them outside if we're not there) at 302 39th St. N. Look for the dumpster, kittens, and Hawk's Nest sign above the door.
Indoor Skate Park Updates
Location!
We are getting closer to securing our location for the expanded Hawk's Nest, which would triple the current space. If you haven't seen the space yet, come to one of our skate sessions at the Hawk's Nest!
Money, Money, Money
We are $30,000 away from reaching our goal of $100,000 to open Fargo's only indoor skate park (and the only one in a 200-mile radius!) An indoor park will provide a safe, welcoming space for all ages and abilities to skate, hang out, and take lessons. Help us reach our goal! Whether you have $10 or $10,000, we are eternally grateful for your support.
Keep In Touch
Skateboarding is a fun, exciting, creative sport that can be picked during any chapter of life. Want to give it a shot but don't know how? Reach out! Have ideas for community engagement? Reach out! The point is: that we want to hear from you.
Keep pushing!
Sincerely, NDSA Board
