For years, NDSA operated out of a private skatepark called the Hawks Nest. After an exciting and successful Giving Hearts Day in 2025, we had planned renovations and expansions to our current home... but learned that our space was zoned incorrectly, and that we'd have to find a new space.

But, we're not going to let that stop us.

As any skateboarder knows: when you fall, you get back up. We're resilient. 

​

Now, we're looking for a new space to call home and renovate into North Dakota's first and only public indoor skatepark. ​Why are we doing this?

• Our winters are long and skateboarding is powerful. An indoor skatepark will give youth a safe and healthy place to go all year long, especially during the winter months.

• A public indoor space will allow us to host classes, camps, and events all year long. 

• We want to raise awareness of the mental and physical benefits of skateboarding
